Studio Work
I wanted to create a lonely feeling within these portraits.
I used the shutter speed and zoom together, and they make this effect.
It looks like her soul is coming out of her body towards us.
Throughout the critique I was complimented on my previous work similar to this, using Liz's shadow to give an edge to the pictures.
So i wanted to experiment more with that technique and here are the results...
Should I continue with this?? or stop??

Information on where to look for Articles and Artists
If anyone is interested I thought I would share some useful links i've recently discovered.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/photography/ Great for interviews, features links and analysis of others work.
This next link is to a particular artist, but I feel you should take a look at his work as it is extremely interesting in terms of the ways he formulates his ideas and concepts behind his work. Also a great source on how to write reflectively about your work..

And lastly, from looking through a few posts on Rodney's blog I came across a link to another website that contains FREE publications you can download in the form of PDFs. Not all of the mags are in English, so look out for whether it says EN or JP or whatever, under the issue.

ON PATHERWAY
When researching my project of seduction and sexuality, I was flicking through VOGUE magazine and GLAMOUR magazine where I noticed that for personal products such as perfume, make-up and clothing ranges use some form of seduction techniques to attract buyers. I then start to think about why we are attracted to these images of lust. We want to be wanted. We have this need to feel attracted so we buy items that make us feel a bit sexier about ourselves and things that can grab someones eye so we in turn get attention. To be these images play on peoples confidence issues as everyone will have doubts about themselves and the magazine uses these issues to make the viewer by these unnecessary items to make them feel a bit better about themselves. So is this a justice for the seductive imagery or is this a negative thing by using people?
These images I have taken are exploring the world of sexuality between the model and the camera. Without and actual advertising purpose do these images remain as 'art' or are they just images that are damaging young children's minds which is the cause of anorexia and dressing inappropriately.
